The fundamental point of voice enhancement and speech enhancement, whether you come to it through a voice disorder or simply to improve your  voice, is to find and free your natural speaking voice. I believe that we are all born with beautiful, expressive, free voices. Over time, we develop habitual patterns of tension that affect the voice. For example, most of us carry some degree of tension in our neck, jaw and shoulders. This is obviously a key area for anatomical structures associated with voice and speech, and our habitual tension affects our voice, whether we know it or not.

The first step in voice training is awareness. Before we can change anything, we must first become aware of what we are currently doing. Then we can look at how to change it. It is possible to make some improvements in voice without awareness of the process, but it takes a very long time. My goal is to work efficiently, training you to be your own voice coach. As a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, I use my education and experience working with many individuals to find your personal speaking voice and overcome difficulties you are having currently. You learn a process that can last a lifetime. This is short-term work with long-term results.
